U8 - U14 Boys Travel Teams

 

The Fort Lee Soccer Club is a non-profit organization focused on player development through professional soccer training in partnership with ATSC. Our mission is to provide a professional, safe and positive soccer environment while developing talented enthusiastic youth players. We work towards developing players who capable of competing at the highest levels of competitive youth soccer.

Additionally, we seek to provide equal opportunity for all soccer players to participate in a competitive environment that develops a player's skills, knowledge and appreciation for the game of soccer by incorporating the best training, structure and development through positive coaching.

Finally, through experiences derived from playing competitive soccer, we strive to help players mature as young adults and encourage the development of important life skills such as good sportsmanship, teamwork, goal setting and fair play.

Mission

Philosophy

Fort Lee Soccer Club’s soccer programs are dedicated in a “long-term comprehensive” developing program that focuses on the core individual excellence and integration of team work concept. FLSC specifically designed to provide a modern coaching approach to accelerating the development of individual players ages U5 to U14. To achieve individual excellence for player development all players’ curriculum will focus on “core fundamental foundation” of soccer.

Touch – Ball Mastery and First Touch
Vision – Game and Space Awareness
Movement – Coordination, Agility and Balance

FLSC long-term comprehensive curriculum will translate into complete player who will possess the four critical attributes of a soccer player:

Technical – Dribbling, varies touches, striking, and passing
Tactical – Understanding creating space, adaptable in position, defending, and role for a position
Physical – Speed, body strength, agility, and endurance
Character - Team work, leadership, confidence, and motivation

Travel Program Summary**

Below is a guide to FLSC's soccer year, listing each season which you have agreed to commit to. All the sessions and games are mandatory and should be adhered to. Failing to communicate any absences may affect your child's place in the team and/or program. If you foresee any clashes and/or problems, please let me know to the best of your ability so that forward planning can be made.

Fall Season

Training:
- Pre season starts Monday 29th August thru Friday 2nd September, 7:30/9:00pm
- Regular training starts Wednesday 7th September
- 3 practices per week, for 1.5 hours per practice
- Start at 6:00 / 7:30 / 9:00pm
- Van Fleet Park, Fort Lee
- All practices are conducted by a dedicated ATSC professional trainer
 
Games:
- Start Saturday 10th September
- 5 home games based in Fort Lee*
- 5 away games based up to 30/40 mins drive outside fort lee*
- All games will be managed by a dedicated ATSC proffessional trainer
- You will receive season schedule when realeased by the relevant league

* typically 8 - 10 games a season. Home and Away games will depend on field availabilities by clubs. There will be a number of games that will be To Be Determine (TBS) and may require us to play midweek evenings or Saturdays and Sundays.

Winter Season

Training:
- Starts 2nd/3rd week in January
- Tuesday's
- 1 practice per week, for 1 hour
- Fort Lee Community Center, indoor*
- Starts at 6:00 / 7:00 / 8:00pm
 
*may be alternative indoor gym within Fort Lee.

Games:
- Starts 2nd week in February depending on the league
- 5 - 7 game season
- location to be decided
- all games will be managed by a ATSC proffessional trainer
- You will receive season schedule when released by relevant league

Spring Season

Training:
- Typically starts last week in March, field availability will depend on Fort Lee town
- 2 practices per week, 1.5 hours per practice
- days/times/location will be released once approved by the town
- All games will be managed by a ATSC professional trainer
 
Games:
- Starts end March / start April
- 5 home games based in Fort Lee*
- 5 away games based upto 30/40 mins drive outside Fort Lee*
- All games will be managed by a dedicated ATSC proffessional trainer
- You will receive season schedule when released by relevant league
